Testing the ‘like to keep reading’ plugin for WordPress

Just a while ago we found out what seems to be a great idea for building social awareness for your webpage.  It is just a plugin that hides content from the visitor and shows it only if the visitor share the page via Twitter, Facebook or Google Plus.

This means that the plugin ‘like to keep reading’ could easily help you create some viral noise around here and there by using it, for example, in a page where you share free content, free files, free music, guides or whatever else that adds an special value to the readers.

Let’s take this post for example, let’s say that you want to read specific instructions on how to install and set the ‘like to keep reading’ plugin.  All the specific instructions are down here, and you already know what you have to do, very simple and straightforward:


First, you have to install the plugin from the plugins manager

Just search for the phrase ‘like to keep reading’ and the plugin will show as the first one.  After you install it, you can go and activate.  A new tab will be created on your sidebar menu on the admin dashboard:

This that will have two subdivisions: ‘box settings’ and ‘button settings’,

These settings will help you customize the text and behaviour of the like box that will be created in substitution of the content you want to hide:

The button settings of the ‘like to keep reading’ plugin will allow you to set how the buttons are going to show on inside the box.

Here you will also be able of activating the button for facebook, twitter or google plus, depending on what do you want to show to your users.
